Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 a preparation for Mayweather?

Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 a preparation for Mayweather?

Many speculations occur that the Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 fight is just a preparation of Pacquiao vs Mayweather dream match. Although there seems no light in these dream match, many fans are waiting for it to come true. Many boxing analysts said that Pacquiao has slowed down in the previous years. Is this a sign that Pacquiao is going to lose over Juan Manuel Marquez? I think that's not enough basis because Manny Pacquiao gained weight for the past years in order for him to win different world titles in different weight classes. If he didn't gained weight, he won't be famous as he was today. I think Pacquiao is still competetive in a 145 lbs. match against Marquez. On the other hand, many boxing analysts said that Marquez won't be able to keep up with the speed and power of Pacquiao because he is getting older. One of the advantages of Pacquiao is his age. According to boxing analysts, age would play a big factor on how your body will respond from your brain.  Would this factor affect the performance of Marquez against Pacquiao on their 3rd and final showdown? I guess let's just find out and watch out for news updates of the much awaited Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 fight!

Pacquiao seeks default judgement in Mayweather Defamation Case

Mayweather Defamation Case
After discussions of the possibility of the Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight, misunderstandings burnt both parties. Mayweather's side stated many accusations on Manny Pacquiao that aims to defame him. Manny have to take a step in order to stop this worthless accusations of Mayweather himself. He decided to file a defamation case against Floyd Mayweather Jr. and other parties, as Mayweather is allegedly continuing to come up with excuses to avoid deposition dates. Manny filed the papers yesterday in Nevada as part of his defamation suit against Mayweather - in which he (Mayweather) accused Manny of using some kind of a performance enhancing drug, commonly known as steroids. According to the documents, Manny's camp offered up 24 dates for Floyd to be deposed - but Mayweather kept coming up with excuses and chose not to show up for any of them.

The suit was originally filed against Mayweather, his uncle Roger, his father Floyd Sr., and Golden Boy Promotions representatives Oscar de la Hoya and Richard Schaefer. De la Hoya and Schaefer were recently dropped off the case after de la Hoya himself offered a public apology. But the Mayweathers are still on the hook, and at this point, the Pacquiao legal team is going ahead with trying to get the default, which they've threatened to do since June. A default judgement would entitle Pacquiao to damages, which have been the gossip this past few months. A fairly quiet end on the case that costs him (Mayweather) only money and doesn't have him appearing in court.

Pacquiao vs Marquez 3: Promotional Package by HBO

HBO on Pacquiao vs Marquez 3
HBO Sports released the details of the promotional package that they are planning for the upcoming Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 fight on November 12. Recently, HBO beat out Showtime as the pay-per-view controller of the much awaited trilogy. Rick Reeno of BocingScene.com spoke with Top Rank's Bob Arum and discussed some details on the promotional package of HBO Sports.

HBO Sports with the parent company Time Warner fully involved on the following:

* Promotion on TBS, which could mean that Pacquiao will be on Conan and/or Lopez Tonight.

* Promotion on TNT, which will include Charles Barkley and Reggie Miller.
* Promotion on CNN, including Arum and Pacquiao on Piers Morgan's show.
* Repeats on HBO's "24/7" on CNN, which is a pretty big deal.

I'm quite excited about the promotional results of HBO Sports. Large-scale promotion for boxing is not an easy thing, but it was made possible by HBO Sports. Showtime and CBS made some steps to improve their promotional tactics last May and now HBO and Time Warner are coming up with some tactics to improve their promotional tactics too. Much better than what Shotime and CBS has accomplished.

Roach: "Pacquiao is going for the kill!"

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao
Freddie Roach, Pacquiao's well-renowned boxing trainer, said that Manny is going for the kill on his upcoming fight against Juan Manuel Marquez. Manny Pacquiao will be facing Marquez for the third time, and as we all know, Manny does not underestimate his opponents, even though he already know the tactics and techniques of Marquez. Manny is going to start his training soon. He's planning to start at Bagiuo City, where the temperature is lower than any cities in the Philippines. Then he's going to fly to California to have his heavy training at the Wild Card Boxing Gym. On other updates, Manny is now having a charity show, which was titled "Manny Many Prizes" where he aims to help his fellowmen even if he's going to use his own money for the show. Such a nice move from the people's champ. He wanted to help all the Filipino's by building their dreams and serving as an inspiration. He used the show as a medium to help the less fortunate, and he even used his own money from his pocket. I wish that he will continue his aim and hope that he will succeed with his objectives. Back to the topic, Manny is now getting prepared for his training and expect for the best in his upcoming fight. His recent fight against Sugar Shane Mosley was often described as "boring", but for now, Pacquiao claimed that he will give us the action that we've all been waiting for. Marquez claimed for that too. I'm quite excited about the Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 and I set my mind for these goals: "Expect the unexpected!"
