Marquez: "I'm not going to make the same mistakes twice"

Juan Manuel "Dinamita" Marquez

After losing his last fight against Manny Pacquiao last 2008 where Pacquiao snapped his WBC featherweight belt, Marquez vows not to make the same mistakes that he made on their last fight. Marquez wants to free himself from all the issues that started after their controversial fight last 2008. After winning his last 2 fights, Juan Manuel Marquez is open to set his conclusions in his upcoming fight against greatest opponent Manny Pacquiao on November 12th, at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada. Marquez quoted that this fight will answer all of those past issues and he will settle the score in his favor this time. Many fans said that their last fight were quite controversial, because Marquez's performance overcame Pacquiao's expectations. Now, all of those controversies will just be a memory, because the judgement day is getting sooner. The wair is now over because the 3rd match of two great warriors is set and will explode exactly on November 12th.  Can Marquez's courage overcome Pacquiao's expertise? Has the last two fights gave Marquez the intel and experience he needs to take down the pound-for-pound king? Based on Marquez's statistics, he has improved after a lot of match after he faced Floyd Mayweather Jr. In my opinion, Marquez is the only fight so far who can trade punches and hurt Pacquiao, unlike any boxer that Pacquiao has fought recently. Marquez is making up his plans and tactics by studying Pacquiao's newest move. I'm quite enjoying how Marquez fight because he's a fighter with such great ability and courage. He's fighting fairly and he's giving all of his strength in every fight that he faced. Same thing that Pacquiao also possessed. These two great boxers have strive hard to get to the top, and here they are again, testing each other skills without hesitation. Let us watch these great fighter collide on November 12th, the judgement day is coming soon.

Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 pay-per-view will be officially handled by HBO

HBO Sports
After weeks of continues discussions, Michael Marley of the Examiner finally reports that an announcement will be  probably released on Wednesday or Thursday, regarding the statement of Top Rank CEO Bob Arum that HBO officially won the bid as the pay-per-view carrier of the upcoming Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 fight on November 12, 2011. Arum also stated that the network who will win the rights to Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 Rematch would also be getting the Cotto vs. Margarito rematch pay-per-view on December 3. HBO's win for the bid doesn't surprise me anymore. Recently, Ross Greenburg has let go as the HBO Sports President and despite his denials, it was clear that letting Showtime handle the May 7 pay-per-view  fight of Manny Pacquiao against Sugar Shane Mosley had broke his chances to continue his legacy on HBO Sports. HBO's offer for Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 was described by Arum as "truly a blockbuster, well thought out." It simply means that HBO would be working on other media  like TV's and magazines to promote the Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3, which lessens the chances for Showtime to win the bid. Showtime made a great decision of stealing Pacquiao from HBO earlier this year, but I guess HBO realized how much they lose if they let Pacquiao slip to Showtime again. They made several mistakes recently and I'm pretty sure that they're not going to make the same mistake again.

Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 Update
The first day of the much awaited Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 fight nearly sold out their tickets. The fight will take place on November 12th and Yahoo! Sports boxing columnist Kevin Lole tweeted earlier that there's only few seats remaining at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Some boxing columnists predicted that Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 will going to be bigger than their previous fight, now I'm not wondering if it's gonna hit big because of the results of the first day ticket sales. I'm just wondering who among Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 and Mayweather vs. Ortiz will gain more pay-per-view? Is it gonna be Mayweather vs. Ortiz or Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3? Anyways, it doesn't matter who among this 2 big fights gain more pay-per-view because I'm pretty sure that both of these fights is going to be a big bash. More fans are getting excited because the judgement day comes closer and closer. Lucky are those people who bought the tickets on the first day because I guess this is gonna be the last time that Pacquiao vs. Marquez will gonna take place. Pacquiao on Marquez: "He's got nothing different, nothing new."

Manny Pacquiao on Marquez
The controversial knock out match of Juan Manuel Marquez and Likar Ramos last Sunday didn't back up Manny Pacquiao, Marquez's next opponent. Their match was set on November 12th and this will be the 3rd time that they are going to face each other. Pacquiao said that he watched the Marquez vs. Ramos match and he said: "He's got nothing different, nothing new." Pacquiao didn't seem to throw any hot lines but this time, it seems that he's challenging Marquez to improve his skills in order to have a very entertaining fight. Exchanging hot lines between boxers causes the rivalry to heat up. I can tell that the previous fights of Pacquiao has not been so entertaining because his opponents are not worth fighting for. In my opinion, the best fighter who can face Pacquiao for the moment is no other than Juan Manuel Marquez. I've watched the first fight of these great fighters that ended up on a controversial draw. I saw how they exchanged blows with each other. Both of them was beat to death by taking each other's punches. Then, the second time ended on an unanimous decision in favor of Pacquiao which I think was not a very easy win. And for the third time, these two fighters are going to face each other and no one knows what will gonna happen next. I am quite excited in this Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 fight and I'm quite sure that this is gonna be more explosive than any fight that Pacquiao had before.

Marquez knocked Ramos out

Juan Manuel Marquez won against Likar Ramos
Juan Manuel "Dinamita" Marquez (53-5-1,39 KO's) made an easy way out of Likar Ramos knocking the Colombian boxer at 1:47 seconds of the 1st round of their fight last July 16th held at Plaza de Toros in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Marquez finished the Colombian boxer with a one right-hand blow that ended their match at 1:47 seconds of round 1. After watching the bout, I can tell that its not a quite good match up after all. Likar Ramos is not even close to Marquez. Before the match, I already knew that Marquez would be the winner. In terms of his (Marquez) skill and intelligence, Likar Ramos has no chance of winning on Marquez. The result of the Marquez-Ramos fight is quite exciting. Marquez set up the heat against Pacquiao by destroying Likar Ramos via knock out. Will Marquez's power overcome Pacquiao's blazing determination? Is this a warning for Manny Pacquiao to get prepared for their match on November 12th? I guess many fans would love to see how much Marquez had improved for the past years. Would that be enough for him to overcome Pacquiao's expertise? I'm quite excited about the Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 on November 12, 2011. I would love to see these two boxers fight in the of glory. I wish good health for the both of them so that there would be no problems in the upcoming Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 fight!

Pacquiao is the 2011 ESPN ESPY Best Fighter

Manny Pacquiao is the 2011 ESPN ESPY Best Fighter
The pound-for-pound king Manny "The Pacman" Pacquiao overcame his fellow boxers such as Sergio Martinez and Bernard Hopkins for the 2011 ESPN ESPY Best Fighter Awards. After being nominated for the 4th time, Manny Pacquiao got the best votes on the previous award giving body in order to win the award over his fellow boxers. The presentation held at the Nokia Center at LA this Wednesday night and was hosted by Seth Myers. The former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather was not nominated, basically because of his absence for almost a year in the boxing industry but he already won the award previously. Filipinos must be really proud of Manny Pacquiao because he's the first Filipino fighter who ever won this award since it was organized in 1993. Another award which is connected in boxing was given to "Fighter", a film which is based on the true life story of Irish boxer Mickey Ward. On the other hand, Mayweather fans must be really happy with this news. Pacquiao agreed on the random blood testing which Mayweather proposed. Not only that, Pacquiao also agreed about the unlimited blood testing but there's a condition, it should be conducted on a neutral organization in order to avoid misunderstandings. Pacquiao claimed  that the US Anti-Doping Agency, the organization that Mayweather wants to handle the tests is not a neutral agency. Pacquiao said that there are other organizations who could conduct the test with the supervision of the athletic commission. The negotiation of Pacquiao-Mayweather fight failed too many times because of the issues that Mayweather had thrown to Pacquiao. But I think we can have some time without thinking about this match-ups because both fighters had an unfinished challenge to overcome. The Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 is coming to soon and I'm sure that this is going to  be a very explosive fight.

Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 was settled at 145 lbs.

Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 press conference
The people's champ Manny Pacquiao will face the Mexican boxer Juan Manuel Marquez at a 145 -pound weight category, if the fight negotiation of the Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 goes through says Michael Koncz, Pacquiao's adviser. For the 3rd time of facing each other, the Mexican boxer personally asked Manny Pacquiao to go down to a 143-pound weight category in pursuance of their trilogy fight. However, Michael Koncz, Pacquiao's adviser said that there's no way for Manny  to fight at a weight category lower than 145 pounds. "Its 145, and not 143. We've had general discussions with Bob Arum (Top Rank Promotions CEO), but we haven't sat down and it will be I and Manny who will be making the decision," said Koncz in BoxingScene.com. After defending his WBO welterweight title against Sugar Shane Mosley. Pacquiao is currently fighting at a 147-pound weight category. Juan Manuel Marquez, the reigning WBO and WBC lightweight champion is the best choice by many boxing experts as Pacquiao's next opponent, in absense of the former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Floyd Mayweather: Pacquiao is next after Ortiz

Is Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight possible?
The undefeated welterweight boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. finally accepted the challenge of fighting Manny Pacquiao after his fight against Victor Ortiz on September 17th. After the unsuccessful negotiation of Pacquiao-Mayweather fight last May 2011, the expectations of watching these two great fighters are starting to rise. At the press conference last week, Mayweather said, "Manny Pacquiao, yes, you're next," according to fighthype.com. His opponent (Mayweather), Victor Ortiz, is considered as one of the toughest fighters in the present. After a year of silence in the ring, Mayweather decided to take on Victor Ortiz, who is currently holding the WBC Welterweight belt. The deal between the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight is not yet close to its highest expectations, but chances are, if either fighters lose to their respective opponents, the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight might be not possible. And besides, both fighters have a fight to take care of, Manny have to handle Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3, which I guess would be a very explosive match-ups. Other issues affecting the possibility of Pacquiao-Mayweather fight is the random drug tests that Mayweather wants and the possibility of Pacquiao to commit a punitive weight penalty like $10 million per pound overweight penalty. These factors can affect the possibility of the much awaited Pacquiao-Mayweather fight. I hope that there will be no problems that will affect the possibility of the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight because I would love to see Manny Pacquiao fight the former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. in order for us to know who is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

"Not all mexicans will go for Juan Manuel Marquez" - Bob Arum

Bob Arum on Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3
The hall of fame boxing promoter Bob Arum told that he's excited on the upcoming Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 fight on November 12, 2011. After Pacquiao's successful win over Sugar Shane Mosley, Bob Arum told us that he's confident that Manny "The Pacman" Pacquiao will win this bout. Bob Arum says, "not all Mexicans will go for Juan Manuel Marquez," on an interview by EsNews Reporting. We witnessed how Manny Pacquiao crushed the greatest Mexican fighters like Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Oscar dela Hoya and even Juan Manuel Marquez and we can't blame the Mexicans if they're on Pacquiao's side. Many fans waited for this match to come on its trilogy, and here it is, for the third time, both fighters will show the product of their hardwork. Many boxing analysts predicted that this is going to be an easy challenge for Manny Pacquiao, some predicted that Marquez is going for the kill. Will Manny Pacquiao outburn the blazing courage of Juan Manuel Marquez? Is courage enough to beat the world's greatest fighter? The answers comes closer and closer. Well, I guess let's find out on November 12, 2011.

Pacquiao Vs. Marquez Showdown

Pacquaio vs Marquez 3
The Philippine pride, the 8-division world champion and the current pound-for-pound king Manny "The Pacman" Pacquiao (53-3-2, 38 KO's) is going to face his fearless opponent Juan Manuel Marquez (52-5-1, 38 KO's) on November 12, 2011 at the MGM Grand Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada. After the unsuccessful negotiation of the Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight, Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 takes its place. The Mexican fighter first fought Pacquiao on  2004 that ended on a draw. They fought last 2008 which was decided on a split decision, in favor of Pacquiao. And for the third time, they will test each other's abilities on November 12, at the MGM Grand Hotel. Facing each other for the 3rd time, I am quite sure that this is gonna be a very explosive fight. Seeing on their professional boxing records, both fighters are quite close with each other. Both of them have 38 KO records which is quite unbelievable. I think this bout is one of the most exciting comeback matches on boxing history. This is the fight that we've all been waiting for.
